In 2026, the Italian Academic Society of Landscape Architecture [IASLA] promoted a two-part national conference entitled "Landscape Architect | University Education and Profession" [Rome, February 3, 2026 and Milan, March 26, 2026]. The conference aimed to examine the relationship between university teaching and the practice of the landscape architect profession. The session hosted by Roma Tre University and dedicated to academic education brought together the courses of the LM-3 Master's Degree Programs in Landscape Architecture. It concluded with a meeting of the course coordinators, at which the decision to establish the National Network of Master's Degree Programs in Landscape Architecture was agreed upon.
The Network aims to highlight the Italian structure of university education dedicated to the discipline and promote its evolution by encouraging exchanges and cooperation between the courses and their respective institutions. The Network's establishment was made public during the second session of the conference promoted by IASLA on March 26, 2026, at the Polytechnic University of Milan.
